Photochemistry and Photophysics of Organic Compounds

Our group focuses on the development and photophysical studies of novel photochemically active compounds and fluorophores, emphasizing the use of photochemistry to solve some interdisciplinary problems in chemistry, biology, physics, and environmental sciences. The laboratory is equipped with femtosecond and nanosecond flash photolysis systems, absorption and fluorescence spectrometers, and various photoreactors.

Research Topics

Photoactivatable compounds
Fluorescent tags and sensors
Kinetic flash photolysis
Spectroscopy
Environmental photochemistry
